About Abigail B. Wylie
Abigail’s first completed novel was a fanfiction based on the children’s book series Warrior Cats. Thus, she accomplished two dreams in fifth grade: finishing a book and convincing her parents to get her a cat.
Ever since, Abigail has considered herself a writer. But the final dream of becoming a published author has followed her through high school, college, work life, and motherhood. Now, established in her career and with a family she treasures, it’s time to take a chance on herself.
Under the pen name Abigail B. Wylie, she has worked throughout pregnancy and post-partum on an epic, quest fantasy story. While she had write and completed many other books, this is the one that she feels is actually ready to be out in the world. She’s now on the hunt for a literary agent, editor, and publishing partner to help her in that journey.
Fun Facts About Abigail
In The Heir and the Answer, two of the main characters are a blind Siren and her sister. Abigail wrote this from her own personal experience. Her sister, Sabrina, is legally blind due to a rare genetic disorder. Abigail has been a partial caregiver to her sister and wanted to reflect that in the characters of Rou and Mey in her book.
For her day job, Abigail works as a Search Engine Optimization Director. She has always loved SEO in the marketing space as it combines both the analytical and creative sides of her brain. She loves words, but she also loves some good data!
The most famous person she’s ever met is Sean Astin (aka Samwise from Lord of the Rings). Photo evidence provided below. Yes, he is as nice as you imagine him to be! A total gem!
